Ratings and reviews

Rated 5 out of5 by from0 Issues with 4K Drone FootageI've been using this on DJI Phantom 4 4K drone video and I haven't had any problems at all. No crashing and great performance on my Macbook Pro.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromWorking greatI've seen past reviews talking about the app crashing, and I experienced that before. The newer version works great. Doesn't crash and it does a great job at stabilizing the image, plus the hyperpalse looks very smooth. The only reason I'm giving a 4 star instead of a 5, is because the software can use moving objects as reference, making the video either slowdown or turns the image as if the camera was actually moving towards the object on the side that could be moving. Of course, this happened while I was driving and big trucks or buses drove by me. I still have to test it walking among people and see how it reacts to the motion of people around me.The video quality might also diminish a litter, but not enough for me to not regret paying for the app. I wouldn't use this app for a professional shooting, and I've only tried it with 1080p video taken with a GoPro. Haven't had the opportunity to try it with 2k or 4k video yet.

Rated 4 out of5 by fromAerial Time-lapseI have just tried this to stabilised a static aerial time-lapse sequence from a helicopter and it has made a remarkable difference to the original video.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromNot usable at all! This software does not work at all, even after the "big big" annonced update. I can choose a video but can not see any image in the preview. When I try to proceed the video after the settings dialog the app crashes. Nope, I will never ever buy this app!

Rated 1 out of5 by fromConstantly crashes when processing 30 minute videoIt works fine for short videos, but for a bit longer videos (like 30 minutes) - it crashes. I am very disappointed, since I thought Microsoft cares about product quality. Also, set of features in this product is very limited, if you take a price into account. The thing that I need most for my video project - a variable speed control to make a really smooth video, since camera moves at different speeds in the original video. Also would be cool to see camera path visualisation.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDoesn't work, can't create new projectI downloaded and installed, but when I choose "New Project", I get the "Open" screen but everything is greyed out and I cannot create a project, thus the application is unusable. El Capitan.

Rated 2 out of5 by fromUnfinished productFirst off, I've been waiting for this technology to be available for use for the general public. While the technical preview was amazing, Hyperlapse Pro is not ready to be a commercial product, yet. This half-baked software has several bugs, almost no advanced options, lacks a lot of features that would make it a professional tool. No compression settings, no DSLR support, poor hardware utilization on a Mac...Nonetheless, the resulting videos are interesting.

Rated 1 out of5 by fromDon't let it make you install developer software!!Tried it for a couple days, worked great. Bought this yesterday to get rid of the watermark. Watermark is gone, but is VERY frustrating that I still had to cut off the last little bit of the clip to get rid of an MS add about Hyperlapse Pro that remains even after the purchase key is installed -- that is unacceptable reason #2. My #1 reason not to buy is that I was doing a clip that was longer than what I had previously done (8m clip). Toward the end of the 2-3hr process of computing a window popped up saying it couldn't do some command without developer software -- then the Hyperlapse software closed unexpectedly. Before I installed that I tried the Hyperlapse again and the same window came up. So I clicked to install the "developer" software and now MS Hyperlapse Pro won't run. I have a session of it "running" but it doesn't come up on the screen and I can't force quit because it doesn't respond to that. And, I can't find the developer software to uninstall it -- because the install bypassed the download folder (and I can't remember what it was called). I tried to reinstall MS Hyperlapse Pro and no change. Still doesn't open. I really wish it worked. Frustrating also is that there was no indication that a report was sent to MS so they can fix it.
